Originating as a "Offtheweb" (1997) project, and winner of the best world website on Paul McCartney in 2001 (still in office), "paulmccartney.fm" is, at the moment, the only International fan club dedicated to Paul McCartney. Although born in Italy, our fan club is considered international because many countries are involved, from the US to Europe, through Africa, Australia… and because English is the official language of our fan-site. Why a fan club? For the same reason that generated the first Beatles’ fan clubs (by the way, we collaborate with one of the few Beatles’ fan clubs still existing): that is, bringing together people with the same passion – music, good music, that of the Beatles, something which has linked and continues to bring together millions of people. "paulmccartney.fm" represents a blending between the past (older fan clubs), the present (internet), and the future, by way of one unique continuity: our great fervour for Paul McCartney – a living legend, the only contemporary artist who could be compared to musicians of the past such as Mozart or Beethoven. The Beatles, John Lennon, and Paul McCartney are still today the symbol of the change in, and the birth of, modern music.
Since over 40 years, they remain a point of reference and the source of inspiration for musicians of today, and they are life’s soundtrack for thousands of people: an authentic and cultural social phenomenon. Our fan club serves to gather impressions and information, and to keep in touch with all those who have a passion for the Beatles, and for Paul McCartney in particular. The review came about from this project, and is enhanced by the collaboration of important artists, journalists, experts in the field, and simple fans. Unlike the older fanzines, we integrate the McCartney topic with something more ample. "paulmccartney.fm" is a magazine rich in information, art, etc… an extensive subject… as is the artist who inspired it: McCartney, a link between various arts: from painting to pop music, passing through music, cinema, and poetry. Being inspired by the versatility of this artist, "paulmccartney.fm" isn't simply a thematic review, but a greater project designed to integrate different topics, all dealt with in a professional and competent way, into one outcome: a real magazine that for almost three years has carved out a big slice of credibility and respect in the world of music publishing.

ART
Since the Beatles' era, Paul has always lead us to appreciate art as a unique thing. Art is not only music and, above all, not pop music. Art is also painting, poetry.… who better than Paul, with "Fireman," "Blackbird Singing," "Liverpool Oratorio," and his painting exhibition, to help us understand the universality of this word: art. Hence our review is open to journalists, writers, and musicians… to all forms of communication that can move across the written word, art.

Although our review only got underway in 1997, it quickly became a real collector's item, like all things that have to do with the Beatles or McCartney. Copies of earlier issues are out-of-print but are often found on Ebay or in the collector's circle.

The review offers numerous contributions and unpublished material: from photographic material to collaborations from Bill Bernstein (Paul’s official photographer since 2002), Ian Dickinson, and Klaus Voorman...
